2011 Curls for a Cause Beneficiary - Menchville House

We extend a thank you to the Menchville House for the excellent work they are doing in the Hampton Roads community, assisting homeless women and their children with housing and training to get them back on their feet.

Representatives from the Menchville House, as well as a former resident, attended the Curls for a Cause event.  The former resident shared her story of how due to a lack of money management skills, she wound up homeless.  But she took in the assistance and training the Menchville House offered, and she is now living on her own and has a successful hair salon that she runs in her home.
